Many regional patrons come together on Saturday afternoon at the ski hill, to provide hands-on activities. Past partners and activities included: * PWSSC Fish printing * NVE Ice cream making and beading * Ray Troll drawing workshop In order to involve and educate more Alaskans about aquatic resources, the Division of Sport Fish has added a mobile classroom. Activities conducted from the classroom further the goals, objectives, and strategies of the Sport Fish Division Strategic Plan. The fifth-wheel trailer has a generator, computer, microscopes, and a wet lab. The mobile classroom is used: * at streamside or coastal locations for school, youth group and adult watershed and aquatic education classes, Information on world famous Copper River salmon will also be on display with help from partners like NVE, CRWP and Cascadia Wildlands Project. |
